Victoria Solar Homes Rebate Update

The Victorian Government has announced changes to its popular Solar Homes Program. The changes have come following their previous plan to release a set number of rebates at the start of every month. With rebates at the beginning of July and August all allocated within hours, the Government has made some improvements to the Homes Program following negative feedback from installers and residents. Here are the changes to the Solar Homes Program in Victoria.

They’re expanding the program

Extra rebates have been made available for current financial year, meaning that another 23,000 Victorian households will be able to benefit from the Solar Homes Program. They have also decided to begin releasing rebates fortnightly instead of monthly to provide more consistency for consumers and solar installers. With two separate rebates each month, it will now be quicker and easier for households to apply for the rebate and install solar in the lead-up to summer.
